Diwali Greetings from IITD!
Program Overview:
"If I went back to college again, I'd concentrate on two areas: learning to write and to speak before an audience. Nothing in life is more important than the ability to communicate effectively."                                                                    -- Gerald R. Ford
Communicating, simple as it may seem is actually complex because of our emotions. No two people or their emotions (reactions) to any situation can be the same. Hence, we need to take a re-look at our communications each day and then fine tune it on an ongoing basis to be able to communicate effectively.
Misunderstanding a communication results in production losses that amount to billions of dollars every year. Following simple effective rules in communication can minimize these losses.
Program Objectives:

The following outline highlights some of the day long program’s key learning points. Many other points will be covered based on the participants’ interactions.

©       To be able to understand the entire process of communication.
©       To note and differentiate the key components in communication.
©       To value the importance of attitude in communication.
©       To list barriers to successful communication.
©       To know about the styles of communication.
©       To understand the importance of being assertive while communicating.
©       To listen to non verbal cues and understand basics of body language.
©       To overcome difficulties in interpersonal communication.
©       To improve in giving and receiving feedback.
©       To analyze and improve on written communication.
©       To accept that communication starts with self and so does improvement in communication. In this regard, set action plans to improve communication at work and in personal life.

Who will benefit?
Working professionals in any sector.
"Communication is really all anyone ever gets paid for ultimately...and if you cannot effectively communicate...you will PAY...not get paid..."                      -- Doug Firebaugh
After all, improved communications lead to better working environment and hence are a direct link to better productivity.

Diwali Greetings from IITD!

Based on profound wisdom 'To err is human' & 'Prevention is better than cure'; Poka yoke is a technique driven approach to achieve Zero Defect Quality.
Although being an Industrial Engineer, Mr. Shigeo Shingo, the founder of Poka Yoke realized the limitations of statistical techniques & devised a three step process of ZQC (Zero Quality Control) consisting of:
Source Inspection
100 % Inspection
Stop the process in event of defect
The common sense approach relies primarily on machine vigilance rather than human vigilance because machine never sleeps!
Who Should Attend?!
Machine & Equipment Operators, Supervisors, Officers, Engineers & Managers or anybody interested in Poka Yoke.
After attending the course the participants shall be able to apply Poka Yoke in their own operations. Typically within a week they achieve 70-80 % reduction in defects with little or no capital investment.
Send participants for understanding mistake proofing to avoid REWORK!
The aim is to:
Help people do it right first time.
Prevent mistakes from occurring.
Achieve 100 % defect free production.
It is a system of techniques, which uses simple, low cost, fast, effective Poka Yoke devices to inspect automatically for errors or defective operating condition.
Poka Yoke finds application not only in manufacturing processes but also in service processes, office administration & transaction processes.
Due to proven results, even the standard ISO/TS16949: 2002(E) includes under clause 8.5.2.2 - 'The organization shall use error-proofing methods in their corrective action process.'
